Birdwatching and Nature Walk Tour at KM18
Experience an unforgettable birdwatching and hiking adventure in the KM18 High Andean Cloud Forest and Subparamo ecosystems, just 40 minutes from Cali. Join us for a fun and educational day tour in a region that hosts over 365 bird species, including five endemic to the area.
KM18, nestled in the mountains just outside of Cali, is a birdwatcher’s paradise, offering an incredible diversity of both resident and migratory bird species. At our natural reserve, you’ll have the chance to experience the rich flora and fauna thriving in the High Andean cloud forest and subparamo ecosystems —a perfect habitat for birds, plants, insects, and other wildlife to find food, shelter, and a place to reproduce.
Explore the hiking trails with our professional birding guides, where you’ll encounter over 30 species of hummingbirds, the Colombian Chachalaca, and the Multicolored Tanager—a favorite among visitors—as they soar gracefully among the treetops, often coming close to our guests.
This bird sanctuary is also home to a vibrant diversity of plant life, including bromeliads, orchids, ferns, and trees, many of which are endangered. Whether you’re a bird enthusiast or a lover of nature, our sanctuary offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of Colombia’s natural wonders.
